Day 20 - Nhulunbuy Airport

Today we flew from Darwin to Cairns but strangely we had a stop on the way at a place called Nhulunbuy in the Northern Territory. All we did was get off the plane for around 20 minutes and then reboarded. We left our hand luggage on the plane and there was no refuelling. I'm not sure of the reason for this. Ive just looked at Nhulunbuy (also know as Gove) on the map and it is very remote.

The photo was taken on my iPad as we reboarded the plane and is a quick blip as Ive not had time to go through the other photos I took when we got to Cairns (mainly of birds).
