Day 8 Tallinn, Estonia.....
After a day at sea and another hour ahead on the clocks, we arrived in Tallinn this morning. It's cold and threatening to rain but that is no deterrent to leaving the ship and going exploring.
We did our own recce before joining a Highlights and Folklore tour with another very well informed and enthusiastic guide. It makes such a difference....
Tallinn is the capital city of Estonia and is a very well preserved medieval city of castles, moats, red-capped towers and gabbled, tile-roofed houses, a very few of which I've chosen for today. Much more information here;

Another excellent shore excursion presentation before every trip with a fascinating and stimulating talk, made this short visit very memorable. We were wonderfully and humorously entertained by a dance troupe with the customary audience participation......!
This also gave us shelter from a torrential downpour. We had taken our umbrellas.
The Show Team really excelled this evening with an exciting celebration of traditional Russian songs, dances and costume.
I'm oh so slowly getting my holiday journal going. So many photos to go through, and life won't stop while I do that.....
