I thought my feet were getting wet!

Which sounds silly when it’s open sandals but I could feel wet coming through the soles and they are indeed worn through. Thank goodness I have a replacement pair in hand.
I’m finishing packing and debating with myself whether to pack the sandals or wear them. Decision has to be made since suitcase will be checked in today. There is rain forecast for the morning and since the early bus is not running I have to walk (about an hour) starting at about 4.45am. Reluctantly I will have to wear boots but I hate having to take them off at security and walk through in my socks. Unhygienic when others who are wearing shoes or sandals walk through wearing them. 
However my walking sandals get on the plane I think it will be a one way journey for them...
