Not before...

...Halloween is always my rule of thumb for commercial signs of Christmas. 

As a purist I would much prefer an approach  that made sure a December festival was celebrated in December but I do accept that such a restriction now seems very old fashioned.

So having seen a Christmas window display in Rothesay on Monday I wasn’t that much surprised to be confronted by this in George St in Edinburgh today.

“The Dome “ is , I recognize always  the first to go full festive and it certainly has this year  - and , alas, before Halloween.
