Visiting

I can't seem to lie in anymore. I was awake this morning by 7:30am, and up by 8:30. It's so nice that it's lighter, but I'm sure it'll be back to black next week.

It was sunny today (praise the Lord!) and a really nice cool autumn day. I'm still on the hunt for workwear, so decided to pop to the next town to go for a browse. I bought a scarf in Mint Velvet which is beautifully soft, but that won't really serve me well next week!

I popped into see A at her store. I always get really nervous and wonder whether or not to bother, but she's always pleased to see me and I'm glad I did. It's been two months, and I wanted to give her the good news about the book. She gave me a hug. It was nice to chat as it wasn't very busy. I couldn't help but think it must be quite cool to run your own business, especially a clothing store like hers.

I came home and tried to settle into some college work but didn't get too far. I ended up starting my assignment (writing my name and the title and checking out the criteria I have to hit) but then reading my book and having a little chuckle at some of the stories. It's gone to the editors next week for them to start work on.

Lucy came to visit this evening, and she was a bit of a whirling dervish. We looked at some of the pictures on the wall that she noticed, and at first thought all the ones of Ro were of "Noocy!".

She wanted to read her book, twice in fact, and when I suggested she hold my hand to walk back downstairs, she held her arms up for me to carry her. I think her busy day at the pumpkin patch with the childminder has tired her out!

She sent a little video to us all today that said "please come to my party!". She'll be two on the eighth.
