Dòchas
Today has been much, much more stable.
Work was interesting. The Boss and the Manager were both out most of the day, so I was left in charge of the new intern - from El Paso, in Texas (known as TexMex from now on).
She seems to be either Mexican from Cuidad Juarez or Mexican from El Paso, depending on who asks. Tomorrow I will be bold and ask about Trump, walls etc.
Her previous internship was in the US Congress, so I wonder what she thinks of our wee goldfish bowl of an office. She has a sense of humour, which is a massive asset. Once her security pass comes through, no doubt she will take up residence in our office in Parliament.
The evening?
Rapal on Radio nan Ghàidheal was particularly relaxing and mellow - not just the music but also DJ Emma NicLaomainn’s soft voice. Of course it made me miss those Wednesday evening Gaelic classes - still no word of a Level 3 course. Plan B is looming.
Some new lapel badges arrived yesterday. They came from Canna in the Small Isles, close to Skye. Population 21.
With an election campaign kicking off, will I start by wearing the dòchas (“hope”) one?
