Gilbert Run Fall Foliage

The trees are in splendid color this week. This is a view from the boardwalk across the beaver dam. When we had the record breaking rain in the spring the rush of water took out one of the bridge supports. Now the bridge is still there but is tilted and part way under water. Today I almost went for a spill while crossing and had a flashback to when my old camera went for a swim. They are going to replace the boardwalks and bridges this winter. I hope that the trail will stay open as it is close to home and is a fun little hike.
