Fiery
Called Ben, our friendly local plumber, first thing. We last saw him way back in January, when he came to restore pressure to the heating system after MrM removed the radiator in the living room. Since then, there's been no heating in there, as we didn't know how to raise the pressure on replacing the radiator! So Ben came out, he and MrM re-connected the radiator, and he instructed me how to sort things out should we need to remove another radiator in future. Voila! Easy when you know how! I await the bill with trepidation...
A day of paperwork, and a mid-afternoon walk on the Common. Forgot it was half-term - lots of noisy children, so no wildlife around, but the autumn colours were glorious. Unusually, it hasn't been a good year for the native rowan trees on the Common - hardly any red berries, and most of the trees have already lost their leaves. But this ornamental rowan looks amazing, with its fiery red leaves and yellow berries.
