Sun, beach, sea, birds...

A very frosty, but sunny, start in Burscough this morning (fab airbnb). First to Formby for red squirrels. I knew that there has been an outbreak of squirrel pox recently (July) but I thought I'd go and see how things were. I found it all a bit sad. Notices all over the place about the pox and please don't feed etc. I saw two healthy looking ones in about an hour and a half - way different to previous visits.

So next, a couple of hours walking along the beach at Ainsdale on an incoming tide. I was delighted to see lots of waders coming closer in as it got to high tide. Good day for sure :)
