Escape

I needed to get out. I needed cheering up! So I went on my favourite drive through the beech woods on the North Downs and down into the pretty village of Shere. The beeches were turning a golden yellow, but they will need a little while more before they reach their full colour.
Down in Shere it was unusually quiet. I visited the little clothes shop and treated myself. Feel much better after my outing!
In the village this little building looks attractive with its mossy roof. It was formerly the fire station serving two villages, Shere and Albury. Now it is a public convenience!
