Blip 1000

Edited - noted as I posted this is my 1000th blip. Wish I’d taken something more celebratory.


Another walking tour today, and we heard that this building was one of the few which survived the 1895 Ljubljana earthquake. Its owner was allegedly cross his building survived, as his neighbours were getting insurance payouts to rebuild their houses, He put up some scaffolding, pretended his house had suffered damage, took the money and painted the top facade in bright colours, which advertised his paint shop.

We also went up the ‘skyscraper’ an impressive Art Deco building - see extra for view from the top.
