Life on the edge...

After ewe...!

I took my violin up to it's original maker today near Fern in Angus to get a musical MOT. His house (not much inside, mainly outside) had been badly damaged with the floods. (About £10,000 worth of damage that is!!!) There was mud residue everywhere.

After leaving I drove back down the road I came up only to nearly drive straight into a whole flock of escaped sheep! I left my car on the road and wandered into a big dark shed to try and find the farmer who was chopping wood out the other side. slightly scary scene from a horror movie came into my mind but I had to do something! Before I even got the sentence "Do the blue and red sprayed sheep belong... To you..." He was already running toward his Quad bike and off up to the road. I presume he had maybe accidentally left the gate of the field open and I had only jogged his memory. When I finally got passed the sheep. I looked up the hill and there were literally about a hundred of them scattered individually all over another field of barley stubble and half ploughed mud! Poor farmer! It did make me laugh though!

It reminded me of a book I read when I was tiny, Usborne Farmyard Tales. Stories set on Apple Tree Farm featuring Mrs Boot the farmer, her children Poppy and Sam, Ted the tractor man, along with Rusty the dog, Woolly the sheep, Curly the pig and lots of other farmyard friends!! I think I even still have this book I loved it so much.

I went for a swim on my way home and on my return home got my new iPhone 5! Very exciting!

Q. What do you call a sheep without any legs?
A. A Cloud
