Epiphany

Today I took the Christmas decorations down. The festive season seems to have gone too quickly. The unending rain and flooding has severely limited opportunities for winter walks, and I don't really feel ready to settle back into the daily routine.I always find this a rather bittersweet time, but this year I felt more melancholy than usual. Next Christmas Chris and Lizzy will be travelling, if all goes to plan, so for the first time we won't all be together. But life moves on, and we'll soon adapt to the changing circumstances, which may well throw up new and exciting opportunities.
