Stowe

Today we visited Stowe House and Gardens in Buckinghamshire. It was a beautiful, cold, sunny Autumn day, so perfect for enjoying all the Autumn colours and the beautiful surroundings.

We’ve had a wonderful long weekend visiting all the children. Birmingham on Saturday morning to see N and take him out for brunch, then on to Nottingham to see A and stay overnight. We went to church with him Sunday morning which was fab and met lots of his friends who were very chatty and friendly. He certainly seems to have met a great bunch of people and seems very happy at uni. We then travelled on to Oxfordshire to visit R and go to her church in the afternoon and meet her friends. We stayed overnight in her beautiful house and enjoyed getting to know her five housemates who are all lovely. We left this morning after breakfast with her and then went on to visit Stowe.

We’ve covered some miles this weekend and are now back in Wales with just the two of us (and dogs too of course, who came along for the ride). It’s been so lovely to see all the children. We have to wait for Christmas now to have them all back home again.
