The Year of the Funnel

I helped out with another Fungus walk today, in a cemetery. The weather was very nice and we had a good turnout. I’ve pretty much given up on serious photography at these events as there is never time. I may try and get out with my camera in the next day or two and focus on the photography rather than identification. Wherever we’ve been this autumn, we seem to have seen Clitocybe species (Funnels) in large numbers. Today was no exception as we found these Trooping Funnels, some as big as dinner plates .
