One less Eeen

A sad day today for these three. From left Loreen, Doreen, Zeena. The other een, Maureen died on 5 October. Maureen was the youngest of the four and they were great pals having met at Isla Court. Maureen was 71 and had various health issues but she was a great organiser of events there and had these three crafting various thing and selling them to make money for their Comfort Fund.

She was so good to my mum taking her places in the car and baking her trademark gingerbread and lemon cake which was delicious. Mum will miss her. She was a lovely kind and generous lady.

They used to chat about who would go first and it was agreed as my mum was the oldest she would be first and Maureen the youngest last. They didn’t take into account underlying health issues....

RIP Maureen. You will be much missed at Isla Court.
