Dawn

Dawn with the valley shrouded in mist and a rosey hue. The hills appear as islands above the billowing white.  The first light frost of the year quickly cleared as the sun's rays spread over the countryside.

Bird trapped in the kitchen this morning but flew out as soon as I opened the window.  It must have come in yesterday and spent the night in the warm.


This morning L drove up from Devon and we went out to the local pub for lunch.  She and her husband are off to Australia for her 70th with several mutual friends living there and they asked her to visit me to report back! (She would have come anyway).
