Fog on the Rhein

My "going home" day today. Too soon, of course.

Köln was foggy and grey this morning, but I did walk about for a couple of hours before my lunchtime Thalys (a multinational French TGV) back to Brussels.

It was quite a pleasant journey until the train broke down at Liège. Part of the train was still at the platform so the crew were able to get us off slowly, and then onto a "normal" SNCB train to Brussels. They did very well in fact, and it was only an hour from breakdown to getting on the other train.

I was expecting armageddon with 2 lots of passengers squeezing onto one train, but the SNCB train was nowhere close to full after we all got on. 

I wonder if I can get a refund?
