Up early, earlier then GMT would have suggested I should get up...!
Alex was off for his shot at sporting glory - Craigie v Bonnyrigg. 0830 pick up. Supposedly. As my phone pinged endlessly it became clear that wee Paul's pick up wasn't going smoothly. Still, I still made it back in ahead of the national anthems to see who would have the honour of denying England their RWC glory next weekend.
Then Tom's new bike (see extra ...finally!) - a test spin at Gypsy Brae. He's obv thrilled but his mum has obviously no clue about what he needs in a bike. Oh well....
Morrison's then the Granton Hub to meet up with local artisan bread aficionados. And view the local art work, too. Suddenly an hour had past and several more shekels had beexpended on cakes and coffee....
Off home for lunch ( I'm not sure how some of them managed any given the gluttony earlier - but eat we did) accompanied by Alex's tales of his team's 5-2 victory (including a goal from wee Zander)
She walked down and so I headed off to meet Her and a fresh sunny walk along McKelvie Parade to mine. Tea then my final visit of the weekend to Granton Hub before She embarked onto a 47 and home.
Spanish bean stew and Sportscene rounded off the day.
A fleck of colour in amongst the grey bricks of Granton.
