Paradise gardens of Shiraz

We left too late to see the lovely stained glass reflections in the Pink mosque without dozens of Chine posing and pushing. Luckily we could see the pretty pink ceilings. Jenny, one of the group has lost her mobile in the melee so
we spent a while searching and we tried to ask the man at the ticket desk if one had been handed in. We found our guide who came with us and yes it had been.

Next we went to a small palace, Naranjestan-e Ghavam now a museum museum with mirrored ceilings and a Paradise Garden.

Next was the Tomb of poet Hafez - Amir recited some of his poetry then translated it to the amusement of Iranians, many of whom were visiting the sights today, it being a holiday. No wonder everywhere was busy- no Chinese at the poet’s grave though, just Iranians.

Our next visit was what I’d been hoping to do - the Eram paradise gardens which were lovely. Cypress trees and pines, flowers and fountains - so beautiful and also busy with families out enjoying the holiday. Again many selfies were taken by locals

Then we went to the bazaar to have lunch. We had a tasty cabbage and rice dish a bit like plov- moist and tasty.

We walked through a lot of the bazaar to get back to the hotel so I easily managed 10000 steps today
