Tricia wanted to visit a craft shop in Lochboisdale. I could take in the White-rumped Sandpiper flock on the way there - it seemed a match made in heaven.
Even better by the time we were leaving the aforementioned shop the fish and chip shop was open and it would have been rude not to buy some.
Not so good was the first pub quiz of the season when our depleted all male team nearly came last. Things were going so well until the music round and then the picture round identifying posters for horror films. I knew precisely none.
