The Plank
Sunday 27th October 2019
The extra hour was very welcome this morning and we both had a lie in.
The weather was kind to us so we went out to Pleasington to plan the walk for next week. A day out with Huddsbird is never dull! She is currently doing "The daily plank challenge" (an exercise). Yesterday she did it on the sand dune, today she chose to do it with Physivic by the canal, but look what happened next!
We continued on our walk, undertaking our alphabet photography challenge. On the way we met the chap in the extras and Physivic was fascinated by his camera. He didn't seem to mind us having a selfie with him. (He did look very real as you approached).
After liquid refreshments in the pub we drove to Witton Country Park for another short walk to investigate that. Back home we sorted photos and had dinner before it was time for Huddsbird to return home. My holiday is officially over.
Oh, perhaps I should explain. When Huddsbird finished her plank exercise I said we should find something to make a big splash and photograph it to make it look like she fell in. A moment later there was a big splash behind us as a dog launched itself off the bank into the water. We laughed and explained to her owner what we had said. He called his dog back, made her wait until we were ready, then encouraged her to do it again, which she obligingly did. So, the splash is courtesy of Meg the spaniel! .......................Oh, you didn't think it was Huddsbird did you? :-))
