The Messenger

A shopping trip to Plymouth with M and managed to park near the Theatre Royal. This 23 foot ( 7 Metre ) statute was erected earlier this year and the surrounding paving is being completed. The bronze was cast in sections in Wales, transported to Devonport Dockyard for assembly, floated by barge  to local quayside before transportation by flat-bed trailer to the site for craning into position. Quite a journey!
