Life from city to village

Rainy Autumn

This morning I drove to my daughter's flat in York to pick her up for the weekend. She wants to use my washing machine rather than the one in the accommodation.

It has chucked it down all day, so I have largely stayed indoors, and cleaned. I decided to clean the ovens - things like that. It seemed like a productive use of the day.

I did think about baking, but couldn't find the right recipe. I want to make biscuits with ground almonds - but not amoretto biscuits. I'll have to have another think tomorrow.

The picture was taken in the grounds by my daughter's accommodation - left over seeds from plants with a background of firey Autumn leaves.
