Shimmers

I practically had to lie down in a darkened room after the rugby world cup match this morning - the All Blacks v England. An unexpected surge of patriotism burst forth - gosh, they played well! Good for England to have something positive to think about than all the Brexit bollix.

The sun shining, bright and crisp, we set out for  walk. We decided to try a Fastnet Trail, they have just added some new ones - admire Himself's drawing on the map. We did the Gorttyowen trail from Toormore and very pleasant it was, down green roads and tiny roads, the hedgerows still humming with bees. The only disturbance was cars out doing a recce for tomorrow's Fastnet Rally when (mainly) blokes in souped up vehicles hurtle at unreasonable speed round the tiny roads of West Cork. Having done our walk we went to admire the sea, shimmering and glistening towards Ballyrisode.
