Women's Work

Women at the well hauling water who knows how far and this is what culture and tradition requires from them!
If you notice the well, the covering slab is missing and has obviously broken The pump is missing as well, all of which is a regular occurence everywhere we go, and these women are pulling the buckets up using a rope.
Other pictures in the set show Harisen, Steve and Alfred making new slabs and in about 2 weeks when ths slabs are set, they will fit a new pump.
It's almost unbelievable that this total operation for us will cost about £50 and give clean, safe drinking water to over 200 people. What kind of a world allows this to happen and what of the AID BUSINESS!!
