Not the Lake District!

It may not be as stunning as Grasmere, but the shores of Rudyard Lake aren't too shabby!

I met u with some friends and we had a walk around the entire lake. It's a very leisurely 5 miles, mostly on the flat. We had perfect sunny Autumn weather.

The extra is wooden sculpture of a tightrope walker situated at the lakeside near he cafe. In September 1864 a Carlos Trower was invited by North Staffordshire Railway to walk across the lake on a rope suspended some hundred feet above the water.
