Travelling Day

Today was set to be a relatively short journey but a road closure added on ~100km.  However - the scenery was spectacular and we are now in the Tongariro Park. Still plenty of snow here so our plans for tomorrow might have to change to a lower level walk rather than the trip up to the mineral lakes we had in mind.

Mount Ngauruhoe (Mount Doom) was looking good in the sunlight and we did get to see Taranaki (in the extra) as we drove past Stratford this morning.
