One o'clock nightmare
Another long day working on my textiles coursework. Instead of choosing to go home after my lesson finished at 10 I spent 4 long hours in the textiles room, working on the netting underskirt. I had 6 metres of fabric to gather by hand, and as if that wasn't difficult enough, a day of textiles never runs entirely smoothly. Despite having so much fabric I managed to make a 24" skirt (just a few inches off the intended 30"). So I then let it out as much as I could to find that when trying it on the mannequin a length of fabric appeared as if from no where un gathered, and so began more gathering! I got there in the end and the dress is beginning to come together...
So in amongst all of this frantic stitching I nearly forgot to take a photo, hence some playing in photoshop.
