Waiting in on a wet day

Poured down all day! 
Took Fletch out ( not that he was too keen) while M waited in for a delivery. Delivery 1 . The curse of the internet is it is too easy to order online. Id ordered some wool.. ( I'm really getting into knitting) and a camera bag ( an in between size of the 2 I already have! Well you can never have too many bags ) 
Himself had also ordered a long sleeve tee  and 2 display tables for his bonsai which meant 4 deliveries .. all in the same day. All from different couriers of course. 
DPD seem the best as they give you a time slot.. the others were " before 8 pm" so it meant a waiting game

But no hardship staying in on a day like this. Although in the end I went out 3 times. My friend has a birthday so I needed to get a present, then after wrapping it , go out again to post it . And of course , whether he wanted it or not Fletch needed a walk. 
Dark just after 6 now .. and by Sunday it will be even darker at teatime.
I really don't know why we need to bother with putting the clocks back ( and forwards) anymore. 
It seems very unnecessary. It may be slightly safer in the mornings for a while as its lighter , but most people are driving home in the dark so that cancels it out.
The only positive thing is that we get an extra hour in bed on Sunday morning
