First daffodils of 2013

Today I met a friend for coffee and she gave me this bunch of Daffodils, which was just lovely.

Daffodils are one of my favourite flowers, and they trigger memories for me. One is of my Nan, who had her birthday in Spring. The second is of living in Sevenoaks! We had a large apartment that needed flowers to make it look homely and warm. I started buying daffodils and put them in the windows. Before then I didn't realise how different one bunch could be to another. Some yellow, some more orange, different shapes and sizes. They are a surprise every time they open!!

I guess my next challenge is learning how grow them... When you plant them!!! I have no gardening knowledge whatsoever but would love to see them grow in my garden!!!
