Let's Face It

My Dear Princess and Dear Fellows,

Today Caro flew up to Tauranga for a reunion with Feefs, Cousin Helen and Cousin Rayleen. It is the first time they have all been together for 25 years and if you follow Caro on Facebook you may have seen the pictures.

For the trip, I took a hint from Fat Pete to get Elton John's new book for Caro. Caro loves music biographies and she LOOOOVES Elton so it was definitely a smart move (thank you FP).

But then, dilemma, dilemma... It was buy-one-get-one-half-off day in Whitcoull's* so I was thrown. On the one hand Caro only NEEDED one book but on the other I am from Yorkshire. HALF OFF. That is a FORTUNE.

Damn you Whitcoull's!

I could see the Jacinda Ardern story in the offers section, but really isn't it a bit soon to be flogging her life story? And then there was Andrew Ridgely's biography as well. I struggled and wrestled with the decision but then found Debbie Harry had come to my rescue.

Another reason to love Debbie Harry. As if I needed one. Maybe next time, Andrew.

* Which is sort of like a cross between Menzies and Waterstones only not as good as either, which is hard to do but they manage it.
