Bye bye tree!
First Thursday morning walk starting in the dark! No spectacular sunrise and generally a bit flat and dull though it was nice to see everyone.
We fed the swans and ducks and it was good to see non of the youngsters appeared to be being driven away.
I then drove through Mountain (Queensbury) which is the highest point in Bradford and it’s always misty, murky there to the hairdresser. Nothing exceptional to blip there.
So I was going to do a wacky double exposure of the swans for Abstract Thursday but just as I had uploaded the shot they started chopping down the tree on our front garden border.
They were doing lots of felling this morning and Chris had another conversation with the same guy who about a month ago told us to give it a winter as it could just be water deprivation that was causing the problem. Today he agreed that it had to go as it was ultimately going to fall on us or at least our cars. It not being our tree we couldn’t make the decision but someone must have as it is going as I type!
Sad really, no more watching the blackbirds trying to reach the berries.
Well have to plant another one.
