Another First

The weather has been horrendous today and I havent stepped outside . It has rained very heavily and our lane resembles a muddy river.

I do not enjoy looking out at the greyness - grey skies and grey mist over the grey fields. It is still October and I need to experience rich autumn colours and vibrant blue skies. This is January weather without the frost.

Ian sorted out the logs and made the first log fire since last Spring. The cats are all indoors and we have no intention of going out.

I've added an extra of the ceiling space in the lounge of the hotel yesterday. Beautiful glass windows.
