Rain, rain, go away!

Sometime in the night the rain started, and it has continued to splash down for the entire day, with rumbles of thunder and falling temperatures thrown in for good measure. Time for an indoor blip, and these cheery red tulips were just the thing. Yesterday my daughter Becky appeared at the door carrying them... a big surprise because I had been talking to her just a little earlier, and she was at her house about 40 miles from here. Thanks for the beautiful flowers and the surprise visit, Becky. Both were a great treat.

Creating this blip gave me another opportunity to try out my new 50 mm lens. I think it performed wonderfully well in the low light of this rainy day.

Last year we had non-stop snow on this date and this year, it's non-stop rain. Today is our youngest grandson's 13th birthday. Happy Birthday, Michael. Maybe next year you will get sunshine!
