Nikaus - Pitt Island

Headed out on buggy and 4x4 to Waipaua Scenic Reserve to walk through nikau and other natives. The punga ferns look different to mainland, large lacey fern skirts.
Once through the reserve continued on to climb Mount Waihere 241m with help from the buggy.
On out to view the Pitt Island sheep on a very steep rocky out crop. Petrel soaring in the wind.
Red Polls singing in the sun and tom tit joined us for lunch.
