Late bloomer

Just as the strawberries the other day (which remain green) this hydrangea has decided to have a late bloom. Everything is being left to the last minute these days.

Most of the flower heads are the deep colour as in the background but there are a few flowers still fresh.

Walked the dog, did some shopping, wrote ( belatedly) lots of thanks you letters for posting tomorrow and generally had a quiet day, overshadowed by the tragic news.
