Violet or magenta?

We went looking for Wax Caps and other fungi in the old pastures at Brown Robin nature reserve, near Grange-over-Sands, and were quite excited to find Violet (or Magenta) Coral (Clavaria zollingeri), looking very splendid in the afternoon sunshine.
