Ilfracombe

Arriving at Ilfracombe to catch the ferry for Lundy, we are struck by the Damien Hirst statue of "Verity" at the harbour front. It has been loaned to the town for 20 years, and depicts a pregnant woman with the skin torn back on one side and a sword which looks far mightier than the scales of justice.
