Japanese Garden

When I got home from my Better Bones gym class, we rushed off to see the colors at the fabulous Japanese Garden in Washington Park. It was spectacular! So was the very cool exhibit  by Noritaka Tatehana, of traditional items contrasted with contemporary, such as the red hairpin and the shoes in the Extra.
A gym mate gave me a ride home in her 1987 Volvo. See more Extras. She loves her old car, and intends to use it up. Such clever things at hand: Instead of GPS, she has a tiny compass, thermometer, and paper calendar. The car is made of steel, so she put magnets on nail clippers, safety pins, and a tape measure and keeps them on the headliner.
