Daybreak
Since July the builders have been at work on this corner plot visible from my bedroom window (this isn't that view, this is taken from the road, fortunately we don't live so close to the action, although I have a friend who does)
I blipped the original hole back on July 15 and from that day onwards, every morning (excepting highdays and holidays of course) the builders start work around 6:30-7...banging and crashing about, as builders do.
This kind of building work is not uncommon here. There seem to be many old houses on large plots of land, the owners die, the relatives sell up and because of the amount of land the only people with that amount of cash are developers. They flatten the old house in a matter of days and then builders move in.
On this corner plot there was a single low level house, but because there is a three story apartment block on the other side of the road the developers can get away with building something similar. I'm sure it will look lovely when finally finished, the only issue then will be where will all the cars park, as I have a nasty feeling that the underground garage has only 1 space per apartment and yet you can guarantee most of the apartments will have 2 car drivers living there.
