First 2013 ramble

First U3A ramble of the year was a 'breaking in' 8 1/2 miles. Must be out of practice, as it felt longer!

We had a stop to admire the Peace Pagoda which was erected by the Buddhist monks who live nearby and who can be seen on Summer days in their orange robes. It attracts a lot of visitors and is near a lake and is often decked out with flowers etc.

Came home and had a nice warm bath which speeded recovery!
