Where's My Autumn?

I looked at various beech woods this afternoon but there's not much sign of Autumn anywhere. I suppose I'm being a bit impatient, I know that as far as the trees are concerned Autumn doesn't come round here until at least November. I did find this dear little mushroom world in a weathered post.

I ended up at Stover and took a walk around the lake. It's another place I ought to put on my list to avoid on school holidays but apart from the shouty youngsters it was quite a pleasant walk. It's been sunny and a lot warmer today.
