Ramblings from Zambia....

Happiness....

in the sweltering heat of Monze!  It was 40 degrees Celsius today and the kids had sweat running down their faces all day!  I had a good journey this morning - left early and had breakfast on the way in a lovely coffee shop outside Mazabuka.  The road from Kafue to Mazabuka has been a nightmare with potholes bigger than vehicles, but today I was pleased to see they are making a new road, so we drove off road which was much better than the old potholed road!  I hope they get it finished quickly though before the rains come!

So lovely to see the kids still playing and doing various activities and having fun!  This makes my heart glad when I see the teachers facilitating the play and letting the children learn through play!  They have a long way to go yet but they are doing such a good job!

I will stay overnight in Monze and return tomorrow to Lusaka  before the public holiday on Thursday for Zambia's 55th Independence day celebrations!
