Painted Lady

There are several very nice planters with flowers in them around the entrance to the building where I work. I stop to admire them often. On this morning, I was running back out to my car to bring some things in, when I spotted a butterfly on one of the golden blooms.

Of course, I ran back inside for my camera, and when I came back out, there were TWO butterflies. They were both painted ladies, very friendly, and they posed so prettily for me. I was glad to see I wasn't the only one enjoying the lovely, sunny, yellow flowers.
