Holyrood Park

Today I stopped and read the information on this board slapped on a rock next to St Margaret's Loch that I have run past about 100 times without ever noticing.

The bit I found most interesting was that the top of the crags were the site of a hill fort now 2000 years old. Although there are no visible traces of buildings, the low bank which I run along was the line of a rampart
