Edinburgh... Where the trees have QR codes

Back to school for children around the country today. For this small business owner, it was down to the books too. Of the accounting kind. Only emerged to take a cheque to the bank (remember them, cheques?). En route I spotted this QR code tied to a tree. When I decoded it, it seemed to be part of a treasure hunt or some such jollity.
