'Harvested Wheat Field'
A lot of driving today, but I really enjoyed it. Travelled around 650km all up I estimate, up to Bundalong on the Victoria, New South Wales border and back home again. Myself and a work colleague Interior Designer went up to meet with the builder, his tiler, carpenter, joiner and a few other hanger oners working on the project. A success as we were able to sort through all of the issues and headed for home again in around 2 hours.
Bundalong is a very small holiday spot on the Murray River between Yarrawonga to the west and Wodonga to the east and is mainly for people who are into the boating, water skiing and fishing it seems as everyone along the river all have their own private jettys and boats.
It was a beautiful sunny day, and quite warm low 30's, but tomorrow up there is expected to hit into the 40's so I'm glad we went today.
The builder suggested we drive into Yarrawonga and then take the more scenic route home through Shepparton, he said it only adds about 10 extra minutes to the trip home so we thought why not. Stopped at a pub in Yarrawonga, but by the time we arrived there the kitchen was closed for any food so we had a quick drink and headed towards Shepparton.
Following my Navigation system on the phone it seemed to take us through some back roads which ended up being a really nice, although unexpected drive. Came across these wheat fields in a small town in Central Victoria called Tungamah and had to make an emergency blip stop. Glad I did too.
Home by 7:30 tonight to Mrs Rosewarne preparing Passata from her 30kg of tomatoes she'd bought today. Apparently there will be more to come, enough to last us until next summer. The kitchen smells are divine as I'm typing this.
