Ring redeemed...

I lost the diamond from my engagement ring a while back. A huge shame because it was the diamond that Gaynor’s uncle had given to Andy to give to Gaynor in a ring when he proposed to her!

But decided rather than mope I would go see what I could get put in, knew we wouldn’t be able to afford another diamond right now, but was quite happy with something simpler - but keeping same ring, but with a different fitting (rub over instead of prongs so I didn’t lose it again!).

Was quite an effort to explain what I wanted in a jewellery shop that didn’t have anything like what I was imagining, and as I have no idea of the terminology! Anyhow, after turning down one stone they went away for a week or so and found me a few other options that were far more my taste and I chose this greeny turquoise stone.

They were lovely throughout - a small family business in the centre of Sutton - Atkinsons - especially given I was a bit particular and possibly a bit weird compared to their normal customers! And they did it for almost the exact amount that I got in birthday money!
