Best to start an adventure . . .
. . . with a smoothie.
Our final day of this celebratory weekend was spent with the children. We all met up this morning on the Southbank and, fortified by smoothies/coffees, we set off for a boat to Greenwich. After an interesting trip with lots to see, we alighted at Greenwich Pier and made straight for Zizzi’s for lunch
Our daughter is organising a school trip to the Maritime Museum, and in particular to the current Moon Exhibition. The exhibition entrance was quite expensive, but she had been told she could have free entry beforehand for research purposes. How she managed to get three adults and three children in I don’t know, but she did. Fascinating exhibition with lots of information about Moon phases and Moon landings etc.
We were going to go up to the Observatory, but it had got a bit late and started raining, so muffins were consumed, before we walked back down and made the return journey by boat. A great day, full of fun. And a fine ending to our super London weekend. We are now on the train back home . . . running an hour late!
Thank you to everyone who has stopped by my journal the last few days and offered congratulations and favourited my blips. I really appreciate it.
